1 cup vegetable oil
2 small onion, thinly sliced
1.5 lb. extra-lean ground beef
3 tbsp iSpice WellnessTM Meat Sauce Seasoning*
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 lb. spaghetti
4 russet potatoes, peeled & small dice
Step 1: Heat 3/4 cup vegetable oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
Step 2: Fry the potatoes until golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon, drain and reserve.
Step 3: Add onions to pan and cook until starting to brown.
Step 4: Add ground beef, iSpice WellnessTM Meat Sauce Seasoning* and tomato paste. Brown beef completely.
Step 5: Meanwhile, fill a large pot halfway with water and bring to the boil. Cook Spaghetti for 5 minutes. Drain.
Step 6: Drizzle remaining oil in the bottom of a medium non-stick pot.
Step 7: Cover bottom of pot with a layer of cooked spaghetti.
Step 8: Spoon some potatoes over spaghetti just to cover it.
Step 9: Cover potatoes and spaghetti with a thin layer of beef.
Step 10: Repeat steps 7 through 9 twice more, finishing with a layer beef.
Step 11: Cover the pot tightly and cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes or until steaming.
Step 12: To serve, place a large serving dish over the pot. While holding the sides of the pot and the plate firmly in place, flip the pot upside down and remove the pot to reveal the finished product.
