Corned Beef Spice Packet Seasoning Recipe

Corned Beef Spice Packet Seasoning Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon whole mustard seeds
  • 1 tablespoon whole coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon whole allspice berries
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 2 bay leaves, crumbled
  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Directions

Step 1

In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the mustard seeds, coriander seeds, and black peppercorns until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the spices.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together the toasted spices with the allspice berries, cloves, bay leaves, cinnamon stick, and ground ginger until well combined.

Step 3

Use the spice blend to season your corned beef according to your recipe. Some recipes may call for the spice blend to be mixed with water or other liquid to create a brine or simmering liquid for the corned beef.

Step 4

Store any unused spice blend in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
