Filet Mignon with Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients

  • 2 (4 oz) filet mignon steaks, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning*
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp butter

Directions

Step 1

Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat with oil until smoking.

Step 2

Rub steak with iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning*

Step 3

Sear filet for 2 minutes per side to form a dark crust.

Step 4

Remove steaks from pan. Add balsamic and red wine. Mix well and bring to a simmer over low heat.

Step 5

Add steaks back to pan and cook 2 minutes, covered.

Step 6

Remove steaks from pan, let rest while reducing the glaze for 2 minutes. Stir in the butter off heat.

Step 7

Serve steaks warm with sauce spooned over top.
