Ingredients
4 large Spanish onions, thinly sliced
1 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
4 tbsp iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning*
2 tbsp brandy
1/2 cup dry white wine
6 cups low-sodium beef broth
4 slices baguette
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
Directions
Step 1: Heat oil in a large soup pot over medium.
Step 2: Cook onions, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes until onions are dark brown.
Step 3: Stir flour and iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning* into onions and cook 2 minutes.
Step 4: Pour in brandy and wine, reduce by half.
Step 5: Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1 hour.
Step 6: Ladle soup into individual onion soup bowls or ramekins, top with baguette slices and sprinkle with cheese. Broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
