Ingredients

  • 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 French shallot, minced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, small dice
  • 4 tbsp iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning*
  • 1 small butter nut squash, peeled, seeded & small dice
  • 1/4 cup green Spanish olives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Italian parsley, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 (8 oz) cans tomato puree
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef stock
  • 1/4 cup red wine

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Brown beef with shallot and green pepper evenly.

Step 3

Add tomato puree, beef stock, iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning,* hot sauce and red wine. Reduce heat to low, simmer beef for 10 minutes until liquid has thickened.

Step 4

Add olives and butternut squash, cover and cook over low heat for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Liquid should be reduced but not fully dry.

Step 5

Serve with fresh parsley.
