Ingredients
1 cup milk
3 large eggs
1 tbsp honey
3 tbsp iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning,* divided
4 3" slices brioche bread
1 tsp canola oil
1 French shallot, minced
1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
1/2 cup shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
2 tbsp butter
maple syrup optional
Directions
Step 1: Whisk together the milk, eggs, honey and 1 tbsp of iSpice WellnessTM Beef Seasoning* in a large bowl. Reserve.
Step 2: Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Step 3: Brown beef with shallot and remaining seasoning until fully cooked. Let cool and mix with shredded cheese. Wipe out pan.
Step 4: Carefully cut a deep pocket in the side of each slice of brioche.
Step 5: Divide the meat mixture in four and stuff each slice of bread with mixture, flattening the bread as you go.
Step 6: Heat butter in non-stick pan over medium-low heat until melted and bubbling.
Step 7: Soak the bread in egg mixture for 30 seconds on each side.
Step 8: Cook bread slices in pan over medium-low heat for 5-8 minutes per side until deep golden brown.
