Sloppy Joes

Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hamburger buns

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.

Step 3

Add the ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir until well combined.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

Step 5

Serve the Sloppy Joes hot on hamburger buns.
