Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter or cooking spray
  • Optional toppings: butter, maple syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, berries, etc.

Directions

Step 1

In a shallow dish or bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

Step 2

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
