BLT Sandwich

BLT Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8-12 strips of bacon
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 4-6 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until crisp. Alternatively, you can cook the bacon on the stovetop in a frying pan.

Step 2

While the bacon is cooking, wash and dry the lettuce leaves and tomato slices.

Step 3

Toast the bread slices in a toaster or in the oven until they are lightly browned and crispy.

Step 4

Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.

Step 5

On four slices of the bread, place a layer of lettuce leaves, followed by a layer of tomato slices.

Step 6

Sprinkle salt and pepper over the tomatoes.

Step 7

Top the tomatoes with the cooked bacon slices.

Step 8

Cover the bacon with another layer of lettuce leaves.

Step 9

Top each sandwich with the remaining slice of bread, mayo-side down.

Step 10

Cut each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
