Ingredients
1 lb. ground pork
5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp iSpice WellnessTM Pork Seasoning*
1 large egg
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 red onions, small dice
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tsp iSpice WellnessTM Meat Sauce Seasoning*
Directions
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, knead the pork, Worcestershire sauce, onion, iSpice WellnessTM Pork Seasoning,* Dijon mustard, egg and panko together until uniformly blended.
Step 2: Divide pork mixture into 4 equal balls and flatten them into hamburger patties.
Step 3: Refrigerate covered for 1 hour to overnight.
Step 4: Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium pan over medium-high heat.
Step 5: Caramelize red onions in hot pan, stirring often to prevent burning.
Step 6: When onions are caramel brown, add vinegar and iSpice WellnessTM Meat Sauce Seasoning.* Reduce until onions are sticky and shiny with almost no liquid left, about 5 minutes
Step 7: Heat grill to medium- high and brush lightly with oil. While grill is heating up, take burgers out and bring to room temperature.
Step 8: Grill burgers for 5 minutes per side, closing the grill lid after each flip. Do not press down on the burgers with spatula. After cooking, let rest under aluminum foil for 5-10 minutes.
Step 9: Serve on your favorite bun with onion jam, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
