Directions
Step 1
Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add cumin seeds and coriander seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
Step 3
Add sliced onion and sauté until golden brown.
Step 4
Add ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt. Stir well and cook for a minute.
Step 5
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
Step 6
Add sliced mushrooms and stir fry for 5-6 minutes or until the mushrooms are cooked through.
Step 7
Add garam masala powder and stir well.
Step 8
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
