Black Pepper Tofu

Black Pepper Tofu

Black pepper tofu is a popular dish in Asian cuisine, particularly in Chinese and Malaysian cuisine. It is typically made by stir-frying cubes of firm tofu in a sauce that includes black pepper, garlic, soy sauce, and other seasonings.

To make black pepper tofu, start by pressing the excess water out of a block of firm tofu and then cutting it into bite-sized cubes. Heat some oil in a pan and then stir-fry the tofu cubes until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside.

In the same pan, add garlic and black pepper and sauté until fragrant. Then, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar to the pan and stir to combine. Return the tofu to the pan and toss to coat it in the sauce. Serve the black pepper tofu with steamed rice and vegetables.

Black pepper tofu is a flavorful and healthy vegetarian or vegan dish that is high in protein and low in fat. It can be customized with different vegetables and seasonings to suit your taste preferences, and it is a delicious and easy way to incorporate tofu into your diet.
