Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

Step 4

Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.

Step 5

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir until just combined.

Step 6

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Step 7

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 8

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned and the centers are set.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
