How to make ensalada rusa

How to make ensalada rusa

Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 2 medium-sized carrots
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup cooked ham, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1

Peel and chop the potatoes and carrots into small cubes.

Step 2

In a large pot, boil the potatoes and carrots until they are tender.

Step 3

In the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas.

Step 4

Once the vegetables are cooked, drain them and let them cool down.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Step 6

Add the cooked vegetables and chopped ham to the bowl with the sauce and mix until everything is coated.

Step 7

Chill the ensalada rusa in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Step 8

Optional: you can garnish the ensalada rusa with chopped fresh parsley, sliced hard-boiled eggs, or olives.
