Hummus is a delicious and versatile spread or dip, popular in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines. Here's a classic recipe for making hummus:
Blend Chickpeas: In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth.
Adjust Consistency: If the hummus is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time, blending after each addition, until the desired consistency is reached.
Taste and Adjust: Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning with more salt, lemon juice, or garlic as needed.
Serve: Transfer the hummus to a serving dish. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika and chopped parsley on top for garnish.
Enjoy: Serve the hummus with warm pita bread, vegetables, or as a spread in sandwiches.
Enjoy your homemade hummus!
