Arrowroot Biscuits

Arrowroot Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup arrowroot powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until well combined.

Step 4

Gradually add the arrowroot powder to the bowl, mixing until a smooth dough forms.

Step 5

Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

Step 6

Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches between each ball.

Step 7

Use a fork to gently press down on each ball to flatten it slightly.

Step 8

Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown around the edges.

Step 9

Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10

Serve the arrowroot biscuits as a snack or with a cup of tea or coffee.
