Meatball Sub

Meatball Sub

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings: sliced onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until it's well combined.

Step 3

Using your hands, form the mixture into 12 to 16 meatballs.

Step 4

Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

Step 5

While the meatballs are baking, slice the sub rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet.

Step 6

Spread the marinara sauce on one side of each sub roll.

Step 7

When the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and place 3 to 4 meatballs on each sub roll.

Step 8

Top the meatballs with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Step 9

Place the sub rolls in the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 10

Serve hot with optional toppings if desired. Enjoy your delicious meatball sub!
